Happy Birthday Horvath-Zurn Consulting!
On July 1, 2008
I opened the doors of this consulting practice quite unsure of how it would
unfold. It was an incredible risk in
this economy, but one I felt passionate about. One year later I have signed the lease for
another year, ordered new business cards and brochures, and continue to hold
to the hope of making a difference in people’s lives by: “illuminating spiritual paths through
inter-spiritual exploration and reflection”. It has been an enlightening year filled
with opportunity! I am grateful to
each of you who support this work, those who have trusted in our process
together, and who have contributed to my
spiritual growth. I am also deeply
grateful to my spouse Barb and our son Zach who believe in me!

Reflections on Passion How do you
define passion? I tend to think of it
as strong intense feelings. When I am passionate about something I
become immersed in a myriad of emotion. How about you? We recently
had some wonderful friends visit our family.
It had been four years or more since we’d last seen them so there was
a lot to catch up on! One of the first
questions they asked was, “So is Zach still so passionate about soccer?” Anyone who knows our son knows he has
played soccer since he was five years old!
It was interesting to share his evolution. While he is still a great soccer player,
his passion has shifted to his music.
He no longer cares to attend Have you
ever experienced such a shift? If so,
it’s a natural and healthy thing to happen in our lives. In fact, it shows growth! I recently presented
a message using a text from the older testament of the Christian Bible. The main character was Nehemiah. His passion was for the rebuilding of the Think about
it! If we were facing flood or a
hurricane or other disaster, wouldn’t we want the place in front of our own
home to be extremely secure? We’d be
most apt to build it stronger because it would be protecting something we are
passionate about. “Our greatest work lies within our
deepest passion”. What are you
passionate about? Are you working in
areas you are passionate about, or simply working? Are you filled by your work or drained by
it? Are there things in your life that
fuel your passion? If not, why not? Perhaps the most clarifying question is
this: Where do you do your greatest
work? That is likely the place of your
greatest passion. Just a

class and would like more particulars and information, this class is for
you! We will delve deeper into the
subject and provide you with a look at all sorts of possibilities in the
field of Ghost Hunting. This class
will provide you with the know-how for beginning your own ghost hunting
ventures.

The Eight Essentials For a Healthy
and Thriving Congregation is an
eight session class designed for churches.
The Eight Essentials For a Healthy
and Thriving Congregation; Developing a Strategy for Success is the sequel and provides the ground work for
putting the Eight Essentials into action.
Putting a Little Character into
Christmas was written to add
some educational fun to the Advent Season.
Again, it is relative to the Christian church.
Open Hearts, Open Doors; Opening
the Doors to the Transgender Community Again, this course is relative to the Christian church
and available for free download, complete with a detailed leader’s guide. You will find this one under Transgender
(on the far left column of the website).
If you, your church or organization are seeking a
workshop, please contact me. I can
custom write it for you and teach it myself or write a leadership guide so
you can teach it yourself. One such
idea is for The Eight Essentials for a Healthy and Thriving
Organization. This would be the same
concepts without the Christian influence and biblical references.

Hunting 101, and 201. The first two
classes are a prerequisite. This class
will involve an actual ghost hunt with a professional ghost hunting team.
